Nick McRae is the author of Mountain Redemption (forthcoming 2013), winner of the Black River Chapbook Competition from Black Lawrence Press. His poems, reviews, and translations have appeared or will soon appear in Birmingham Poetry Review, Hayden's Ferry Review, Linebreak, The Southern Review, Third Coast, and other journals and anthologies. He has been a Fulbright fellow in the Slovak Republic, where he taught English and American Literature, and was recently a finalist for the Ruth Lilly Poetry Fellowship from the Poetry Foundation. Nick teaches and studies poetry at The Ohio State University, where he also writes and edits book reviews for The Journal. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and raised in the Northwest Georgia mountains, he lives in Columbus, Ohio.
