Dana is a graudate of Arizona State University with an MA in political theory. His Master’s project was on the political thought of Friedrich Nietzsche. Beyond poetry, Dana writes short non-fiction pieces about art and philosophy as literature, and he is currently working on a play that he thinks will never be finished. Some of his favorite poets are Wallace Stevens, Friedrich Hölderlin, Walt Whitman, Zbigniew Herbert, Rainer Rilke, William Carlos Williams and Charles Bukowski. He enjoys the novels of Cormac McCarthy, Saul Bellow, Richard Yates and Philip Roth, though his favorite writers are Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Friedrich Nietzsche. Dana lives in the Valley of the Sun and teaches politics at a local community college.
