Elly Bookman

Elly Bookman graduated from Colby College in 2009 and is currently in her first year in the MFA program at UNC Greensboro. In 2010 she received the inaugural Stanley Kunitz Memorial Prize from American Poetry Review, and her poem "Another Thing I’d Rather Not Know About Myself" appeared on the feature page of the September/October issue. In addition her poetry has appeared in the Café Review and she co-authors the Tate Street High Society blog. Born in Washington state, Elly grew up in Downtown Atlanta and identifies with both the Pacific Northwest and the Southern regions of America, having traveled back and forth between the two for most of her life.
