Fritz Ward lives just outside of Philadelphia and works at Swarthmore College. He is the recipient of the Cecil Hemley Memorial Prize from the Poetry Society of America, and was included in Best New Poets 2007. His chapbook, Doppelganged, was recently released by Blue Hour Press. His full-length manuscript, Letters from the Handmade Dark has recently been a finalist for the National Poetry Series, Fourway Books, Elixir Press, Salt Publishing and a semi-finalist for the Academy of American Poets Walt Whitman Prize. His work has been published in Gulf Coast, American Letters & Commentary, Another Chicago Magazine, Blackbird, Salt Hill, DIAGRAM, Hotel Amerika, and many other fine journals.
