Freeform Affidavit

I will never regret the secrets I have kept.

Sometimes, though, they escape as a hiss.

The secrets I have kept belong to him as well–

We do not speak but I’m confident that I haunt.

Family is a construct

                                        I am good

                                        At building.

            Still, I never clean

            Like television women.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       From a distance, the moon

Winks as I navigate heaps of laundry,

Keep my big mouth shut, and search for a hammer.
