Sisyphus Says

The solution

is sunrise – not age,

but wonder.

It’s in the way the trees

then splinter,

poached by the sky.  The shadow of my childhood

means the stories are true, but music

is the only way to read it, and work

the only way to dance.  The moment

behooves us, still –

like a scattering of leaves.  The problem was

trying to normalize it,

while thinking I was special.
