behold: invisible
In the crosswalk,
a schopenhauer
that died.
It swims the air
and grass
between mothers
and their hot dogs.
Schopenhauer
on a train to Kyoto.
Schopenhauer's fingers
through a can of tomatoes.
Schopenhauer
howling and
rolling down a stair.
Always
japan–ghosts
find themselves
in the ocean
because that's where
their lanterns take them.
Schopenhauer has
no lantern
and he sees his mother
in a cloud, so
he flails upward
until he is a cloud
also.
