Lisa Marie Basile, founding editor of Caper Literary Journal, lives in NY. Her full-length poetry collection, "A Decent Voodoo," will come out in 2012 on ÄŒervená Barva Press. She is a Creative Writing M.F.A. candidate at New School in New York City. More about her is at: www.lisamariebasile.com
She has (or will have) published work in CommonLine, The View from Here, Writers Bloc (Rutgers), Dew on the Kudzu, Word Riot, Aphros Literary Magazine, Vox Poetica, The Medulla Review, Melusine and Physiognomy in Letters, The Ink-Filled Page, The Foundling Review, Black Lantern Review, Venus Envy, Feile-Festa and The Broome Street Review among others. A full page feature on her work, inspiration and background is also printed in Poets and Artists Magazine’s February 2010 issue.
Lisa Marie is also the Editor of the anthology Vwa: Poems For Haiti, a project that dedicates literary energy to the Earthquake in Haiti.
Currently she is working with PEN American Center’s Prison Writing Program.
