AN INCURABLE SOMNAMBULANCE

The new

is nothing more

than illogicality.

If by saying

the new

we mean

to simply say

the newly restated

then we’ve arrived

cogently somewhere.

For the sake of discussion

let us say

that we arrive

in a /or/ at

a Parisian discourse.

What does

the language set look like?

What lexical rhythms ensue?

Are we materially bound

in this discourse?

Are we suggestively

or

associatively driven?

What analogies

are possible?

And then I hear

the fragment

panic

engenders

the space

for

frenzy

Somehow we’ve passed

our pre-destined end

and have non-arrived

at the title.

Rather than

AN INCRUABLE SOMNAMBULANCE

why not simply say

we cannot avoid

active sleep?

Even in writing

we cannot avoid

active sleeping.
