The fragile conspiracy of dents & debts as disguise for an unremarkably new era of doubts & wounds : will prevail over the old methods of milk, money, conditions tempered by the maker’s dream & now they tell us to hold our breath, plug the electric fascination into the wall, put the lights away because we don’t need them anymore, we have our children to tend to our needs, the one named Shelley, the one named Edgar, the two named Roberto, the one to be named Anne of the Collapsible Breach, & we painters have no responsibility to anything but the wall, but worry not : the poets are here to preserve economy, labor, product, placement, fraction, loss, & a blanket over the temple plaques, leopards being part of our ritual feast, vessels shattered so long ago : we hardly remember their shape.
