Violin Poem
Hark! the violin sings easy and
Pathos prevails in the e minor
recordings of a desperate sixteen-year-old
each Tree its silence breaks
the Box and Firr to talk begin
Hark! this in the sprightly Violin
one part wood box one part
Angels sing as part of money-saving collection
is the one slight departure from
Hark! as with the gladness of old
except a certain house-father
except notes which he learned
drawing, print, nursery rhyme,
outcasts, Victorian, surreal,
dark, wood, fantasy, violin, beggar
Hark! the piano and on the violin
will perform in beautiful money
