Michael Martin Shea

Michael Martin Shea Michael Martin Shea was born in Maryland, raised in Florida, and now lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he is a doctoral student in Comparative Literature and Literary Theory at the University of Pennsylvania. A former senior editor of Yalobusha Review and Fulbright Fellow to Argentina, he also serves as managing editor of the Best American Experimental Writing anthology, published by Wesleyan University Press. His poetry has appeared in Colorado Review, Conjunctions, Fence, Jubilat, PEN Poetry Series, Pleiades, Tender-Loin, and elsewhere. His translation of Liliana Ponce’s Diario was published in 2018 by Ugly Duckling Presse; additional translations are forthcoming in Gulf Coast.
