absolution - formal release from guilt, obligation, or punishment
pardon once granted
was snatched it flies
away in the palm
of a crow-claw
I
ordain myself
declare: no Bronze Age-god
will shriek my bones
to blushing, self-loathing dreck
*
Forgive me, father
for I have sinned
My dreams are wet
My sheets are laden
*
Come thick, come hot
Come slick with spit
Come eager-fingered
Come lip, toe, armpit.
